ARCH:ID 2026 returns as Indonesia's biggest architecture event of the year, bringing together architects, interior designers, creative studios, and innovative brands in one collaborative space.

As modern design increasingly centers on experience and the emotional relationship between people and space, this event has become a vital platform for exploring ideas, materials, and contemporary architectural approaches.

At this architecture event, Manon Design Studio presents the installation Manik Ring Cecupu: The Human Within the Universe — a spatial work that explores the relationship between humanity, ritual, the materials of the earth, and a larger universe.

Here is a closer look at how Manik Ring Cecupu, born of the collaboration between Manon Design Studio and Ahti Interiors, opens new horizons in modern architecture.

ARCH:ID 2026: A Space for Modern Design and Architectural Exploration

As one of the most prestigious architecture events in Indonesia in 2026, ARCH:ID has evolved into a key platform for advancing the country's design and architecture industries. It goes far beyond a product showcase or visual display — it is a space for exchanging ideas, exploring concepts, and fostering cross-disciplinary creative collaboration.

Each year, ARCH:ID brings fresh perspectives on the relationship between people, space, material, and technology. That is what makes this architecture event relevant not only to industry professionals but also to a broader audience with a genuine interest in the evolution of contemporary design.

Manon Design Studio and the Manik Ring Cecupu Installation at ARCH:ID 2026

At this architecture event, Manon Design Studio presents Manik Ring Cecupu: The Human Within the Universe as a narrative and immersive spatial experience. The installation is not designed as a mere visual object — it is a spatial journey that invites visitors to be fully present, both physically and emotionally.

The concept grew out of a deep exploration of the relationship between humanity, ritual, natural elements, and the cosmos. Through the lens of spatial storytelling, Manon crafted a spatial narrative divided into seven stages — from the moment of entering the space to leaving it with a deeper sense of awareness.

7 Stages of the Spatial Journey in Manik Ring Cecupu

Stage 1 — Entrance

Stage 1: Entrance brings visitors to the threshold of the Cecupu space — a transitional moment from the outside world into something more intimate and reflective. The entrance is designed to slow the step and prepare the visitor's awareness before the journey begins.

Stage 2 — Water of Origin

Stage 2: Water of Origin presents water as the first element of life. Caustic light reflecting off the water's surface creates an atmosphere that feels simultaneously primordial and meditative — reminding visitors of the most fundamental bond between humanity and nature.

Stage 3 — 6 Tones of Water

Stage 3: 6 Tones of Water explores the sensory dimension of water through six distinct tap points, each offering a different variation of temperature, pressure, and texture. Every tap becomes an invitation to touch and feel — making water not just an aesthetic element, but a tactile and personal experience.

Stage 4 — Earth Material

Stage 4: Earth Material draws visitors closer to a carefully curated selection of earth materials developed together with Altarize. Texture, weight, and color are not decoration — they are a narrative of origin and continuity, an invitation to truly touch and feel the surface of the earth.

Stage 5 — Human Living

Stage 5: Human Living presents the human dwelling space at an intimate scale — a dining table as a symbol of everyday life, togetherness, and the rhythms of human existence. Here, design speaks about the simplest yet most meaningful aspects of being alive.

Stage 6 — Center of Life

At the heart of the installation, Stage 6: Center of Life presents "Manik" as a symbol of the seed of life, placed at the very core of the space. At this point, the entire spatial journey converges in a single reflective moment — about the connection between humanity, material, water, and the universe.

Stage 7 — Exit

The journey then closes through Stage 7: Closing / Exit, as visitors slowly leave the Cecupu space with a quieter awareness of the balance between nature, space, and human presence.

In the context of Indonesia's 2026 architecture event, spatial experiences like this are becoming increasingly relevant — presenting design not merely as something to look at, but as something to truly feel.

Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration in the ARCH:ID 2026 Installation

One of the defining strengths of Manik Ring Cecupu: The Human Within the Universe is the multi-disciplinary collaboration that shapes the spatial experience as a whole.

Manon Design Studio stands as the primary creative force behind the installation, developing the concept and spatial narrative through a spatial storytelling approach in Interior Design that builds an emotional journey for every visitor. Together with Ahti Interiors as a key collaborator, the installation comes to life as a cohesive and layered spatial experience.

Material exploration was realised together with Altarize, while the atmospheric lighting was designed by Prima Design with support from LTECH and Signify as lighting partners. Vestu brought objects and ambience that deepened the emotional dimension of the space, while Cane & Co completed the experience through furniture craftsmanship that felt warm and tactile throughout.

This cross-disciplinary collaboration demonstrates that powerful spatial design is born from genuine dialogue between creative fields.

Within the ARCH:ID 2026 Jakarta installation, every element plays a complementary role in creating a spatial experience that is both complete and layered. This approach also illustrates how the modern architecture event is evolving into a space for conceptual exploration — one that engages human experience on a far deeper level.

Amid the dynamic and visually rich atmosphere of ARCH:ID 2026, Manik Ring Cecupu: The Human Within the Universe offers a space to pause — inviting visitors to move more slowly, more consciously, and more closely with the experience of space itself.

Through the conceptual approach and spatial narrative built by Manon, this installation is not just a presence within Indonesia's biggest architecture event — it is a reflection on how design can reach the emotional core of what it means to be human.

This participation further cements Manon's positioning as a creative studio defined by conceptual and spatial storytelling — through a design approach that is narrative, immersive, and deeply contextual.

Manik Ring Cecupu: The Human Within the Universe at ARCH:ID 2026 marks another chapter in the journey of Manon Design Studio — where space, material, and light slowly compose their own meaning, and people rediscover how it feels to exist within the universe.
