A Modern Tropical Loft Villa Designed for Open Living

Set within the lush landscape of Mambal, Bali, Las Palmas by Patton was envisioned as a collection of contemporary loft villas that combine industrial aesthetics with the comfort of tropical living. Developed as a hospitality destination, the project explores how compact villa design can remain spacious, functional, and deeply connected to its natural surroundings.

The client sought a villa concept that would stand out within Bali’s growing hospitality market while offering guests a living experience that feels modern, relaxed, and immersive. In response, Manon Design Studio developed a tropical loft villa concept that celebrates openness, natural light, and spatial efficiency without compromising comfort.

Industrial Character Adapted to the Tropical Climate

The architectural identity of Las Palmas by Patton is shaped by exposed steel structures, textured concrete surfaces, natural wood finishes, and expansive glass openings. These raw materials create a bold industrial expression while maintaining the warmth expected from a tropical retreat.

Rather than relying solely on visual aesthetics, our experienced team design integrates passive tropical strategies such as cross ventilation, generous ceiling heights, shaded openings, and natural airflow to enhance thermal comfort throughout the villas. The result is an environment that feels airy, breathable, and naturally connected to the outdoors.

Loft Living Reimagined for Hospitality

Each villa is organized around an open-plan layout that includes a living area, dining space, kitchen, private pool, terrace, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. The loft configuration maximizes vertical volume and creates a greater sense of openness despite the compact footprint.

Floor-to-ceiling glazing, semi-outdoor transitions, and tropical landscaping further blur the boundary between architecture and nature, allowing guests to experience Bali's climate and scenery as part of their everyday stay.

Through Las Palmas by Patton, Manon Design Studio explores how modern industrial architecture can be thoughtfully adapted into a tropical hospitality environment—creating a villa experience that feels contemporary, efficient, and timeless.
