Located in the creative district of Canggu, Bali, Ink Garage was envisioned as more than a tattoo studio. The client wanted a destination where art, self-expression, and lifestyle could coexist naturally—a place where people could gather, create, connect, and spend time beyond the tattooing experience itself.
In response, our experienced team designed a multifunctional creative hub that combines a tattoo studio, nail art station, piercing area, merchandise corner, and coffee shop within a single cohesive environment. Rather than separating each function, the project encourages interaction between them, allowing visitors to experience the space as a continuous social journey.
Industrial Design with a Contemporary Edge
Inspired by Canggu’s evolving creative culture, the design embraces an industrial material palette of exposed metal structures, concrete finishes, glass blocks, and acrylic elements. These raw materials are balanced with vibrant electric blue accents that bring a youthful energy to the space while establishing a distinctive visual identity.
Open layouts and transparent spatial boundaries allow activities to remain visible throughout the interior, creating a sense of movement and creative exchange between artists, clients, and visitors.
Beyond a Tattoo Studio
At the heart of the project is the belief that creative spaces should foster community. The coffee shop acts as a social anchor, offering a relaxed setting where conversations, collaborations, and everyday interactions can unfold naturally.
Through Ink Garage, Manon Design Studio explores how commercial spaces can move beyond their primary function to become environments that celebrate creativity, individuality, and human connection.
