A Modern Tropical Villa Inspired by Serenity and Renewal
Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Berawa, Canggu, Putri Tirta Villa was designed as a private tropical sanctuary where architecture becomes a reflection of calmness, balance, and personal meaning. The name "Putri Tirta", which symbolizes purity, clarity, and renewal, became the foundation of the design narrative, shaping a villa that feels both gentle and strong at the same time.
The client envisioned a home that could offer a sense of retreat within Bali’s dynamic hospitality environment. In response, Manon Design Studio translated this vision into a contemporary tropical villa that combines open living, natural materials, and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Open Spaces Shaped by Tropical Living
At the heart of the villa is an open-plan living experience where the kitchen, dining area, and lounge flow together effortlessly. Large openings invite natural light and tropical breezes into the space, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
Natural stone textures, warm wood finishes, and subtle industrial accents are carefully layered to create a timeless interior character that feels elegant without losing its sense of comfort.
A cascading waterfall flowing from the upper balcony into the swimming pool becomes the focal point of the residence, bringing movement, sound, and a calming presence into the everyday living experience.
A Contemporary Interpretation of Tropical Hospitality
The architectural identity is defined by strong triangular roof forms that give the villa a distinctive silhouette while responding to Bali’s tropical climate. Indoor and outdoor sunken lounges, spacious bedrooms, rooftop spaces, and carefully curated Balinese artworks further enrich the experience, creating moments of connection between architecture, culture, and nature.
Rather than relying on excessive ornamentation, the project focuses on proportion, materiality, and atmosphere to create a hospitality experience that feels authentic, warm, and memorable.
