A Tropical Mediterranean Villa Designed for Slower Living
Located in Padonan, Bali, Robin Villa was envisioned as a modern tropical retreat that combines the timeless charm of Mediterranean architecture with the relaxed lifestyle of the island. Designed as two private villa units, the project responds to the growing demand for hospitality properties that feel both commercially attractive and emotionally connected to their surroundings.
The owners sought a villa experience that felt warm, inviting, and effortless—a place where residents and guests could enjoy the simplicity of everyday living while remaining immersed in Bali’s tropical atmosphere. Guided by this vision, Manon Design Studio developed a tropical Mediterranean villa that balances comfort, functionality, and architectural character.
Mediterranean Character Reimagined for Tropical Living
Inspired by Mediterranean villa design, the architecture is defined by textured white surfaces, soft curves, outdoor staircases, and a restrained natural palette that creates a sense of calm throughout the property. Rather than replicating traditional Mediterranean forms, the design adapts them to Bali’s tropical climate through generous openings, natural ventilation, and strong indoor-outdoor connections.
Natural daylight flows freely through the spaces, while cross-ventilation helps maintain comfort throughout the day. The result is a villa that feels bright, breathable, and closely connected to nature.
Designed Around Everyday Experience
Each villa features two ensuite bedrooms, an open kitchen and dining area, a sunken living room, private pool deck, rooftop terrace, and outdoor seating spaces. The layout is carefully organized to create a seamless transition between communal and private areas, allowing residents to experience both openness and intimacy within the same environment.
Warm tropical finishes, natural textures, and carefully balanced proportions reinforce the villa’s welcoming atmosphere, creating a hospitality experience that feels timeless rather than trend-driven.
